FORGIVENESS
There is a song which impacted me greatly when I first heard it over a year ago. My grandma was dying of cancer at the time, and the words of the song so touched my heart and the presence and anointing of God was so tangible. It was only a week or two after watching the song on the internet that I heard the news that the guy who wrote and sang the song I watched on YouTube had actually faked an illness. He had lied to his family and church that he was dying of cancer, and had performed the song in one of the world's most famous pentecostal churches and it became a best selling song. Many since then refuse to listen to the song or perform it. What is wrong with that picture? Are these people sinless? No - we all sin. Yes, his sin was horrendous and caused a lot of pain. But God does not rate sins. Sin is sin. God forgives, and He expects us to do likewise - He commands it. This guy confessed his sin to the world, and not only that, but also other sin, and he is truly repentant for what he did. My prayer today is that we would learn to forgive far more easily and not put down things that God has done, this song for example. The song is, I have no doubt, inspired and anointed by God, and thousands have been touched by it, and continue to do so. I pray that many more thousands will be touched and impacted by the words of this song for years to come. I also pray that this man will be raised up again by God into His God given calling and destiny. Here is the song in question, as performed by the man in question. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_MQtokXCb4

You had visited my blog when MJ and Farrah died. As I had been busy and haven't gotten much blogging done, I only just saw your post. Thank you for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteI read yours and heartily agree. But for the grace of God,each of us would be lost and undone. Thankfully, the grace He gives us, also gives us the power to forgive others as He requires us to. He has done it all -- not one of us can boast.
His richest blessings to you, sir.
